What is the Dixie Cup?
Since 1983, the Dixie Cup has been known for its great mix of irreverent fun as well as its seriousness about beer. This is not just an awards ceremony - over the course of two days you will be able to participate in seminars and events presented by outstanding professional and home brewers, authors and experts. You also get to drink a lot of great beer!
Why is this competition so popular year after year?
- Numerous BJCP Master and National judges and brewing professionals join the large number of BJCP Certified and Recognized judges at the evaluation tables.
- The Dixie Cup is one of the final Qualifying Events for the Masters Championship of Amateur Brewing and is the final competition in the series that determines the Lone Star Circuit Homebrewer of the Year, the Lone Star Circuit Homebrew Team of the Year, and the Lone Star Circuit Homebrew Club of the Year.
What’s The Special Beer Category?

How do I attend the Dixie Cup?
